Christmas at Grandpa's and Nana's

Dec. 26th, after work we headed up to Grandpa's and Nana's for Christmas. We had a wonderful time up there. Quentin was excited about his watch, and so was Rich for that matter. Nana talked about big clocks when she was down her.. Well, anyone who knows me, knows that I love clocks.. So, guess what she got?? She had this wonderful idea----which I may do sometime---is to fill a wall full of clocks......................!!!!!!!!!!! And for some reason I'm still late to work.. Just do not get it...LOL.. Looking at the picture, I relized that I need to have a kid in front of me from now on..

Dec. 23rd we headed over to Grandma's house.. It was a great time over there too.. And what a delicious meal, plus, lots of goodies.. =-) Now, I relized w/the way that we set the camera up for these pictures did help me much.... But, loved them anyway..

Ok, since I got some of the pictures posted... I'm going to keep going.. We got to my parents house 12/21 and celebrated Christmas w/everyone on the 22ND. It was a wonderful time, with a total of 26 people---sorry if I did not get every ones pictures.. For the people who were not there, they were missed but, not forgotten.. We let the kids open their gifts first---well, anyone for that matter..=-) I seem to have the hardest time getting a nice picture of my parents, my dad loves to talk while you're trying to take the picture. [ahhh.. Parents].. When that was done, we played our game---on the order of the 'white elephant' game... The game that was most played at my parents house was Boggle... Everyone seems to love that game..

This will be the third time I have tried to post about our Christmas... I know it's late, but, it gets really old to get the pictures up, and then it gone... I'm not a computer person, so I have no idea what I have done.. LOL So, this is what I'm going to do.. I'm going to post a few pictures at a time to see if it works.. LOL

It's been awhile......

This is my life lately................=-)

So, today I get this call..... Wondering if I wanted to go and work out.. With out much thought, I said yes. But, first had to do more things for RTH --[Rock the House].. Seems like all I'm doing lately is this.. Should not complain as for it's for my kids too. It's just that every day, I'm thinking in my head what needs to be done for it.. In the mean time, sure hope no one wants to come to my home.. Anyway at the end, I felt really good about going to the gym, and was wondering why I do not go more often...

Not sure how to say THANKS!! But, I really do need to thank Lynda for saving me ... She has done sooooooooo much work with RTH.. If it wasn't for her, I would probably be writing everything out by hand...=-) And can you image what the handouts to the parents would look? Not very pretty, if I say so myself.. She has done all the computer work. [if I knew how to show the newsletter that she did, I would...]... Thanks so much Lynda.. For something you did not even sign up for.. I do have to say that I did make a lot of phone calls....... Just to hear people say how busy they are..

Look at how grown up he looks??? Get this, Quentin asks me to iron his shirt, then before I know it, he's asking me to iron his pants.. ----and for those who know me, knows I really do not iron.. So, after I ironed his clothes, Scott went back over it, and it turned out much better. Quentin has been taking the trumpet since school started and this was his first concert.. Which I have to say they did a great job!!! We video taped the whole thing, so we can see how he improves as the years goes on.

Here's what I'm wondering......... Why do so many people go out shopping for the holidays just to come back and return it??????? Since Thanksgiving, everyone has been stopping by our store, to get rid of what they bought..... Some even go to a different Kohl's store to do their shopping, then bring their items back to us?? Do we really want all this 'stuff'??? Then just like any other job, we have rules that we need to follow.. But, it amazes me when we are questioned about it....Like we make up the rules.....Yeah, I'm thinking I just like to make the customers mad...LOL

Happy belated to me!!!

The other day was my birthday.... I'm just getting closer to the two ugly NUMBERS!! You know you're old when your niece calls and sings 'Happy birthday to the old lady'.. LOL And when the other one asks if you're still 29..... I'M GOING W/THE SECOND ONE!! Although, when I woke up said that I was 39... MAN, TALKING ABOUT AGING MYSELF!!!!!!! AHHHHHHHHH!!! I'm not that old yet!!!

Ok, so we got into Madison Sat. night, I'm watching the temp. remain the same, no higher then 20... I'm thinking that there is no way that I want to go SLEDDING in this weather. But after we helped put out Christmas items at my parents house, WE all get bundled up to head for 'hills'. --wish I had taken pictures... All in all it turned out to be so much fun!!! Going up the hill was not always a blast, but it was so much fun to go down!! Bart, my brothers dog went w/us, and he had so much fun running up and down the hills. Oh did I mention this was my brother Tom's idea??? THANKS TOM, IT WAS SO MUCH FUN!!!!!!!

Just wanted to say Happy Belated Birthday to Quentin.. Nov. 15th he turned 11 years old. Not sure where the time went.. It seems just like yesterday he was born...Now he's in 5th grade, and a great kid!!!

life goes on...

For anyone who knows me, life goes on... A week or so after Snoop passed away, I got word that a cute black kitty needed a home. So, the sucker I am, made plans to 'go and see' the new kitty. This trip to see this kitty was about an hour away..[one way]... Turned out that I was not the only one who fell in love w/this kitty... We all did.. Needless to say, Shadow came home w/us. He is all black w/alittle white in him. And really not shy. I do have to say that he takes food like Mischief---and one who knew Mischief would understand what I'm talking about.

Snoop

Today is a very sad day for us... This wonderful cat that we had for a little over 5 years is now up in heaven w/my other animals... If you ever got the chance to know Snoop then you know what I'm about to say. Snoop did not know a stranger!!! He loved everyone he met. Actually, one would probably think that he was 'homeless'... He would follow people around--like down the sidewalk... We got Snoop when we lived in Normal, found him at the Humane Society, I had called Scott to tell him that I found a cat--Hunter-- but, when Scott came he fell in love w/Snoop.. [they named him Mr. Toes]... Are you wondering why we changed it??? From day one, this cat did not want to stay in... He loved the outdoors, and I have this feeling that he brought home many of his treasures.. One story that I love is when the neighbor back in Normal asked if Snoop had ever been in their home... Cuz, he knew his way around the inside of her home very well.. YES THEY LET SNOOP INTO THEIR HOME!!!!!!! Snoop could get into any ones hearts !! One more thing about Snoop is that he was not afraid of any animal!! Dogs would run up to him, and he would just lay there... Most of the dogs did not know what to do about this.... He [Snoop] would rub up against any dog, human for that matter... He loved everyone... We enjoy every moment w/his cat, and he will be missed!!!! We got him in Oct. of 2002 and he was about 2 years of age then, and he past away Oct. 29, 2007.......... Let me say that a little bit of antifreeze is not very good for any animal.. Please make sure that none is ever left around!! Or please clean it up, animals do not know the difference, and love the taste.... ---it can kill them for that matter...........We found out the hard way..............
