life goes on...

For anyone who knows me, life goes on... A week or so after Snoop passed away, I got word that a cute black kitty needed a home. So, the sucker I am, made plans to 'go and see' the new kitty. This trip to see this kitty was about an hour away..[one way]... Turned out that I was not the only one who fell in love w/this kitty... We all did.. Needless to say, Shadow came home w/us. He is all black w/alittle white in him. And really not shy. I do have to say that he takes food like Mischief---and one who knew Mischief would understand what I'm talking about.

Snoop

Today is a very sad day for us... This wonderful cat that we had for a little over 5 years is now up in heaven w/my other animals... If you ever got the chance to know Snoop then you know what I'm about to say. Snoop did not know a stranger!!! He loved everyone he met. Actually, one would probably think that he was 'homeless'... He would follow people around--like down the sidewalk... We got Snoop when we lived in Normal, found him at the Humane Society, I had called Scott to tell him that I found a cat--Hunter-- but, when Scott came he fell in love w/Snoop.. [they named him Mr. Toes]... Are you wondering why we changed it??? From day one, this cat did not want to stay in... He loved the outdoors, and I have this feeling that he brought home many of his treasures.. One story that I love is when the neighbor back in Normal asked if Snoop had ever been in their home... Cuz, he knew his way around the inside of her home very well.. YES THEY LET SNOOP INTO THEIR HOME!!!!!!! Snoop could get into any ones hearts !! One more thing about Snoop is that he was not afraid of any animal!! Dogs would run up to him, and he would just lay there... Most of the dogs did not know what to do about this.... He [Snoop] would rub up against any dog, human for that matter... He loved everyone... We enjoy every moment w/his cat, and he will be missed!!!! We got him in Oct. of 2002 and he was about 2 years of age then, and he past away Oct. 29, 2007.......... Let me say that a little bit of antifreeze is not very good for any animal.. Please make sure that none is ever left around!! Or please clean it up, animals do not know the difference, and love the taste.... ---it can kill them for that matter...........We found out the hard way..............

Have you ever had a day were you have song stuck in your head??? Well, today was that day for me... Thanks to a sweet co-worker who kept singing this song to me, it's now in my head... Let me share it w/you, so you can sing it too...

Sometimes when you think it's a toy.......... It's NOT!!! The other morning I was letting Simon in, when he picked up, what I thought it was a toy.. And I asked him to drop it so I could throw it. Well, to my surprise, it was NOT A TOY!! Needless to say I screamed --must of woke up the whole neighborhood up... Do you really want to know what it was??? IT WAS A DEAD BIRD!!! Poor Simon thought I was yelling at him.. If he only knew how it freaked me out......Must of been someone else's cat who brought it to my yard to share w/me. =-) I'm being told I should of took a picture of it......YUK!!!

My wish

I wish I would of gotten this a lot SOONER!!! Going through Skyler's papers last night, I found this piece of paper--I'm thinking she had to answer each question, to tell about her self. Anyway, one of the questions was titled 'MY WISH'.... And what does this child write down??? Yep, that she was an only child....... =-) Man, now I'm wishing that I would of had her first, and known about this.... ---NO, I'm just kidding about the last part, I love my 2 kids very much...

It's been a while

I'm thinking that Kohl's is my second home.. As for I have worked the last 6 days in a row!!! And get this???? They wanted to know if I wanted to work tomorrow too... I sadly had to tell them NO.... Now I will have the next 4 days and I will enjoy them...

School starts tomorrow

Today is the last day of summer and tomorrow starts the first day of school. I have a feeling that they are not very excited about going... But, between you and me...... I'm excited!!! For the last few weeks I have been waking up to the fighting, and let me tell you it does not get any better as the day goes on.. =-) Some days are longer then others... Here's a cute story, we were walking into Best Buy the other day, and the kids had a hard time reading what it said on the door....... It said something about going back to school. LOL, it was too cute for words.

SHOCKED!!!!!!

OK, so there are not many times in my life where I can get something for Scott and he likes it. Like when I got an i Pod, he wasn't thrilled w/the idea. But, when he had to go somewhere for work, what did he do?? Yep, he put on over a 100 songs on my i Pod, and took it w/him. So, I decided that since he seemed to like it, I would get him his own. So, found one for a good deal and got it. What does the @#*^ say when I gave it to him??? Yes, why did I get one for him, when he could use mine?? Well, it did not take him long to get his albums up here, and to figure out how to get them on his i Pod, now he has all the the Cd's up here too.. But, here's the part I loved, Friday night, he was telling his friend ---while listening to his i Pod on the stereo---that he loves it!!!!! YES, I ACTUALLY GOT SOMETHING FOR HIM THAT HE LIKES!!!!!! Shocked to say the least!!!!!!

I'm so HAPPY!!!!

Have to share what has happened to me yesterday!! I have found someone sooooooooo sweet to help me be the Co-chair of the PTO!!! Not sure if I would of gotten any where w/out her help. She said that she would do the computer stuff for me ---or as she says 'Teri's Secretary...lol' Anyway, I owe her a BIG THANK YOU, as for no one really wanted to step up to help me... I'll keep you posted as to how it's going...

HAPPY 9TH BIRTHDAY!!

I can not believe Skyler is 9 years old today!! Where has the time gone? It seems like just yesterday I was bringing her home... And now look, it's 9 years later. She is going into 4th grade, loves bowling, Girl Scouts, plus just started dancing this past year. Can this child do cart wheels!! Lets not forget swimming, Skyler has loved water ever since she could crawl into the sink. --anywhere there was water, there was Skyler. Which has paid off, cuz, this child has no fear of water. You should see her jump off the diving boards!! [I have to close my eyes, LOL] I just wanted to say Happy Birthday to Skyler!! I hope you have a wonderful day!! ----guess we are spending her birthday today???? Yep, at Splashdown.........

Dust is gone!!! =-)

OK, every time I turn around time just flies by on me!! I would ask where the summer went, but, I'm sure some would answer that a little different then me. Let's see, Quentin and Skyler went to their Grandma's house last week, and also got to visit w/their Nanny & Papa.. They had such a wonderful time!! They came back w/stories after stories. The butterflies were a big highlight w/Grandma. Plus, seeing Grandma's kitty was very special. Playing cards w/Nanny and Papa was another highlight. What a wonderful time they had at both places. Then to top it off, their Uncle Tom [U. Dork---to others] =-) [said by another dork] and Nanny brought them half way home, where Nancy got them. Nancy was the lucky one who got to have my other 2 babies. Ginger was not the nicest puppy, and Simon well was Simon. Everyday Nancy would come home to something on the floor. And one night, she even had a SURPRISE under her pillow!! Yes, Simon put his rawhide there for safe keeping!!!!!!! Our babies were in very good hands w/an almost 7th grader!!! I want to say THANKS TO EVERYONE who helped us out!!!!!!!
